The figure 8 table clips are designed specifically for attaching table tops to the base and providing limited movement of the table top. They feature two round fixing holes resembling the number 8.

Simply drill a shallow recess to size of the larger part of figure 8 table clip in the top edge of the frame. Carefully drill pilot holes for the screws in both directions.
